My Archive: Accumulation of images Alongside my own shadow,
a cluster of images follows me wherever I go,
images that have nonetheless been forgotten and misplaced
in the external memory of my cyborg prosthesis:
the cloud storage on my mobile phone.
Drive and compulsion,
I have generated a mass of digital content charged with meaning —personal and creative—,
yet which, beneath its invisible appearance,
runs the risk of accumulating like a mountain of forgotten remnants.
The invisible ceases to be so when it is named:
to name it is to make it manifest,
and to make it manifest is to materialize it.
I have given form to the entirety of the photographic archive
to save it from oblivion,
granting it a dignified life —and a dignified death—.
Four thousand seven hundred and fifty-two (4,752) images measuring 49 × 71 mm
burst into the neutrality of the exhibition space,
forming a sea of images
and revealing the magnitude of their force in the material world.
